Oliver Night joins the Tru Thoughts family

Oliver Night is a London-based DJ and producer celebrated for his deep, dubby, and soulful productions, as well as his distinctive vocals featured on tracks by leading names in electronic and house music. With a profound passion for Broken Beat, Oliver has been shaping unique sounds and captivating audiences globally.

“I’ve been a Tru Thoughts fan for time and have vinyl from them that’s been in my collection since the early 2000’s so to be signing to Tru Thoughts feels right, and is a real full circle, or forward spiralling moment, that bridges the music that played its part in shaping me with the momentum of now.
So, I invite you with me on my next chapter – which I’m celebrating with this mix. Expect to hear some of my favourite producers, some solid grooves that got me locked, music from friends, and some unreleased pressure.”

Beginning his musical journey as a child drummer, Oliver has performed at iconic events such as Worldwide FM, We Out Here Festival, and Boiler Room, and shared the stage with Roots Manuva at Glastonbury. As a member of Roots Manuva’s Banana Klan, he contributed to the critically acclaimed album “4everevolution,” highlighting his versatility and commitment to musical innovation. Roots Manuva is also a feature on Oliver Nights forthcoming album.

Drawing inspiration from global DJs and producers, Oliver’s tracks have gained recognition from influential figures like Kenny Chandler, where “You Got To” was praised as a top anthem at Detroit’s Movement Festival for capturing the festival’s vibrant energy. Oliver continues to push boundaries in the Broken Beat, house and electronic music scenes, whether through production or vocal performance, cementing his reputation as a dynamic and innovative DJ and artist.
