The Hot 8 Brass Band perform at Steve McQueen’s wrap party

Last week acclaimed film director, film producer, screenwriter, and video artist  Steve McQueen asked The Hot 8 Brass Band to come and play the wrap party for his new project. Steve, director of 12 Years A Slave, Hunger, Shame, Widows, and the Small Axe collection of five films set within London’s West Indian community over three decades, has been working on a new project that is set for release in 2024. The band jumped on a plane from New Orleans and made it happen. Steve is here on stage holding his vinyl copy of “Sexual Healing” with the band.
