Internationally acclaimed harpist Alina Bzhezhinska and Ibiza-based producer Tulshi share the third single, “Warm Days, Cold Nights”, from their upcoming album ‘Whispers of Rain’.
Following the serene depth of “Whispers of Rain” and the radiant, glitch-infused “Across the Sea”, “Warm Days, Cold Nights” explores the emotional terrain of a journey in progress, the quiet contrasts between movement and stillness, optimism and uncertainty. Grounded in a blues-inspired harp melody and driven by brooding synths, it evokes the tension and beauty of life in transit.
“For me, this one is all about that feeling of being mid-journey,” explains Tulshi. “The days are full of activity and at night your emotions come to the forefront. There’s determination in having left, the desire to reach your destination and a lot to take in along the way.” Alina adds: “I based my melody on the blues, as it’s such a universal language for expressing human emotion. I love how Tulshi felt what I was trying to say there – the heartbeat of the track really carries it.”
Built from a live harp performance (captured in just the second take), the track blends organic and electronic elements with a deep emotional current. Alina experiments with harp textures inspired by the African kora, while Tulshi adds low-end weight and expansive synths that contrast the delicate opening with a thunderous finale. “I really wanted to play with contrast,” Tulshi says. “The track starts light and airy, then drops into this heavy kick and a much more grounded energy.”
