“Messiah Hybrids” is the latest single from Gawd Status aka King Kashmere (of Strange U) and Joker Starr. About the origins of man and ancient Mesopotamian, “Messiah Hybrids” was created chopping vinyl “with a wooden handle machete from a small province in northern Nigeria” by King Kashmere, and features DJ Jazz T on scratching and turntables.

Taken from their debut album ‘Firmamentum (out 30th August), Gawd Status continue to demonstrate their versatility and eclecticism as an unconventional producer/MC duo.

Accompanying the single is a video produced by stable of the scene, UKHH, which sees Gawd Status placed in a real-world environment; “weaving creation in plain view but unseen because as GAWDS, people only see what we wish them too” King Kashmere cryptically enlightens. “Messiah Hybrids” follows the ecstatic genre-defying split “Heavy Metal / The Alchemist ft. Fae Simon” which has seen praise from Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music), EARMILK, UKHH and many more.
