Get Low (Zero T Remix) / Gravity feat. MELONYX & Onj (En:vy Remix)
Bruk Rogers
Released: 13 May 2025
Label: Tru Thoughts
Bruk Rogers dives into jungle with a self-rework under his Zero T alias, and a deep, rolling, drum and bass reinterpretation from En:vy.
These fresh takes revisit tracks from Bruk Rogers’ ‘Loopholes’, an album that earned high praise from Mary Anne Hobbs, Nemone, Jamz Supernova, Jyoty, Alexander Nut, UKF, and Gilles Peterson, among others; and inspired re-imaginings from Alex Phountzi. Already making waves on club floors, these latest releases have garnered early support from heavyweights like Lemon D, DJ Flight, and Fierce.
Zero T’s remix of Get Low is a standout, blending jungle influences with his modern production finesse. Speaking on the track, he shares:
“I’ve never remixed myself before, so this was an interesting challenge. Get Low already had a jungle influence, so it made sense to choose that track for my Zero T remix. If you know your jungle history, there’s a strong nod to J Majik’s Metalheadz classic Your Sound in the arrangement of the Amen breaks. This mix has been going off in my sets throughout 2024 and was a highlight at Sun & Bass in Sardinia last September. DJs have been chasing me for this one, so it’s great to finally get it out there!”
Austria-born, Bristol-based producer En:vy weaves MELONYX’s soulful vocals through decisive, heavy-hitting percussion and a rumbling bassline, sculpting a sound for the dancefloor. Bruk Rogers sings his praises: “En:vy is one of my favourite producers in DnB right now. His music captures all the vibes I love, and his tracks have been a staple in my sets for some time. Fans of Alix Perez and Halogenix will definitely connect with his sound.”
With an impressive output to his name, Cian McCann, aka Bruk Rogers/Zero T, has spent over two decades embedded in the fabric of UK underground music. Under his Zero Tolerance moniker, he was first signed to 4hero’s Reinforced Records, immersing himself in the jungle and early broken beat scenes. Frequenting legendary spots like CoOp at Plastic People and Jazz:Refreshed at MauMau Bar, he developed an appreciation for bruk, jazz, and bass-driven sounds. His 2021 set at the virtual We Out Here Festival reignited his passion for broken beat, leading to releases under Bruk Rogers on the CoOperation label and his latest album ‘Loopholes’, with Tru Thoughts. Bringing both sides of his artistry together, Cian hosted a show on SWU, now part of the Rinse FM network, going back-to-back with his two aliases, just as he does on these remixes.
