Bristol-based artist and producer Slowe returns with her third single, “Temporary (You’ll Be Gone)”, an intimate and quietly hypnotic track that explores the beauty and inevitability of fleeting connections. Following “How Hard Can It Be” and double single “Sundown feat Alamay/Too Much to Ask”, this new release deepens the world of her forthcoming second album, In Moments.

“Temporary (You’ll Be Gone)” finds Slowe embracing the transient nature of relationships, whether romantic, platonic, or somewhere in between. Instead of lamenting their impermanence, she leans into the freedom of being fully present. “It’s about appreciating those moments for what they are right now,” she explains, “without the pressure of thinking ahead or wondering how things will turn out.”

Musically, “Temporary” offers a subtle shift in palette. Built around an understated, afrobeat-leaning groove, a rhythmic territory Slowe hadn’t explored before, the track balances warm bass, close-mic’d vocals and her signature hazy, late-night production. The result is something both sultry and featherlight, a song that moves with a gentle pulse but lingers like a memory.

There’s a soft confidence in her performance, smoky harmonies swirling around the beat, quiet admissions cutting through the mix, and an intimacy that feels like a whisper shared in dim light. “I love the intimate, sultry vibes of this one,” Slowe notes, describing it as one of the album’s most quietly revealing moments.

The track was mixed by long-time collaborator Joe Sonar (FKA Kreed), whose touch brings warmth and clarity to Slowe’s layered production. Their partnership helps elevate “Temporary” into a sleek, modern blend of neo-soul, bedroom pop and understated rhythmic experimentation.

With In Moments on the horizon, “Temporary (You’ll Be Gone)” captures the essence of Slowe’s new era: reflective, emotionally attuned, and unafraid to move into new sonic spaces while staying rooted in her unique sound.
