WheelUP teams up with Sio on soulful house triple single “Magnetic”.

“Bruk Renaissance” torchbearer WheelUP, also known as West London’s Danny Wheeler, teams up with multi-hyphenate poet, DJ, and singer-songwriter Sio on a soulful house triple release featuring “Tepid”, focus track “Magnetic”, and “Best You”. This vibrant groove highlights WheelUP’s versatility as a producer, blending deep, soulful house with sweeping synths and funky basslines, perfectly complementing Sio’s radiant voice.

“Working with Sio has been a dream come true”, says WheelUP. “She is such a great vocalist, and the beautiful tone of Sio’s vocals is just pure and from the heart, so musically, I had to do my best to match that energy. I connected with her through Kid Fonque, who is also a key figure originally from the South African music scene. I’m half-Zimbabwean, so this connection felt even more meaningful”.

The tracks embody a mindset where positivity naturally attracts good things, delivering a high-vibration listening experience, whether enjoyed at home or on the dance floor. Sio adds, “WheelUP sent me a batch of really cool, funky, fun beats, and it was hard to narrow my choices down to just one. The three that inspired me most helped me clear out confusion and inspired healing and self-love”.

Sio, a leading voice in South Africa’s music scene, is celebrated for her authentic vulnerability and impeccable storytelling. Her latest album ‘Sarang’, Korean for “Love”, explores the power of intentionality, infusing her music with positivity to transform both her art and life.

This release follows WheelUP’s sophomore album, ‘We Are The Magic’, along with recent remixes, including his take on Alice Russell’s “Rain” and fresh reworks of his tracks by Wipe The Needle, Afriquoi, and Makoto.
