“100 Racks” is the newest offering from South-London grime artist, MC and producer Crafty 893. A self-explanatory hustle about making 100 grand, Crafty uses an insatiable hook and playful wordplay matched to his protean production to create the perfect soundtrack when “stacking all the p’s”.
“100 Racks” is the latest single taken from Crafty 893’s debut album ‘Smart Dumb’ featuring Big Zuu, Sir Spyro and Manga Saint Hilare, and dropping Friday 9th April on Tru Thoughts.
“100 Racks” comes with a new video in a distinct animated style. Talking about the video concept, which was directed by friend Dominic Taylor, Crafty says: “I wanted the visuals to be something completely different to what I’ve seen before. It’s based on a mission brief in Grand Theft Auto, where I’m in the office teaching people how to make money.”
“100 Racks” follows on from a succession of stellar videos such as “Back It” featuring dominating force across food, TV and grime Big Zuu and “Wotless” in collaboration with producer, DJ and grime veteran Sir Spyro. Both singles have garnered praise in GRM Daily, Mixtape Madness, TRENCH, Complex UK, and across the airwaves on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, Reprezent and many more.
